Rannoch Forest– Carie - Trail Marked OS NN 616573
3 miles from Kinloch Rannoch on South Loch Rannoch Parking, Picnic Area. Toilets only available in summer at Kilvrecht Campsite.
Two short, category “easy” trail marked circular walks through woodland beside a beautiful stream. A little rough underfoot but easily managed – a good place to look for Red Squirrels.
- Kilvrecht (Rannoch Forest) – (3/4 mile /1.2 km)
- Carie Trail (Rannoch Forest) – (1/2 mile/0.75 km)
Also at Carie – category “moderate” longer, slightly more challenging circular trail-marked walk on forest paths and tracks following up the burnside gorge and back down through plantation and ancient oak woodland.
