Andy Dewar-McCabe, (ex Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Equitation Instructor, trained at The Army School of Equitation, Melton Mowbray) owns and runs Kinloch Rannoch Equestrian Centre.
Set in the heart of the Perthshire Highlands we offer a full range of activities from lessons to livery, not to mention the stunning hundreds of open acres to hack out in. For the beginner or novice looking for a truly hands on experience why not try having lessons building on your ability, confidence and co ordination. There are many equestrian disciplines which on request can be taught to novice and experienced riders alike.
If you are an experienced rider discover the hidden gems of Loch Rannoch and its surrounding glens. Ride through forests and high moorland ridges with breathtaking views of this beautiful part of the highlands, with an opportunity to see some rarely seen wildlife in their natural habitat.
At Rannoch Equestrian our aim is to introduce the fundamental skills, basic principles and goals of Horsemanship which will allow the student to learn, progress and enjoy their chosen riding activity. Horse riding is as much a mental activity as it is a physical one. Not only do you need your brain to coordinate your body so you can balance and send signals to the horse, but you also need to maintain a mental attitude that gives the horse confidence and helps the horse see you as the one in charge.
